Hello World

The start of something new…

Hello there reader!

I hope this finds you well… If you’ve not already sussed… My name is Steven! I’m a Technical Program Manager and work in the Cyber Security field.

Over the coming weeks, months (and probably years) I’m going to use this space to document my experiences as I focus on expanding my knowledge of all things security through training courses, events and conferences.

This space is here both to keep me honest and accountable to do my training and go to events… but also, it’s here to provide a place for me to document my thoughts and feelings as I navigate the world of security - It’s always been mystical to me and I am still a little baffled that I get to work on some super tough security problems each day!

Perhaps it’s my imposters syndrome, or perhaps it’s the sysadmin deep within, but I never believed I’d end up working in the security field, so I’m sure many posts will be just about how it feels to be in this whole new world.

My family all thought I’d be come a taxi driver!

Hopefully, by having this space and by talking through my experiences, I’ll be able to help others who feel or felt the same as me navigate the scary world of Cyber Security!

So… welcome all - I’m excited to see where I go with this!
